The Design Council

The Design Council operates as a non departmental public body funded by an annual grant from the Department of Business, Innovation and Skills, with co-sponsorship from the Department of Culture, Media and Sport.  Working together to promote the use of design throughout UK businesses and public services and demonstrating that design can play a vital role in strengthening the economy.

Designing Demand

Designing Demand is the Solutions for Business support programme developed by the Design Council.  It helps businesses discover how to become more innovative, more competitive and more profitable by using design.  It does this by giving managers the skills to exploit design by spotting opportunities, briefing designers, and running design projects that deliver.  A wide range of resources and case studies are available to download.
